PublicisTouchpoint Solutions is hiring a team of Nephrology Sales Specialists for anexciting partnership with a premier pharmaceutical company! This is a uniqueopportunity to develop and manage your own territory while making an impact onpatients’ lives.

The Nephrology Sales Specialist is a solo, specialty sales positioncalling on Nephrologists in the office, clinic and hospital setting –developing the market presence for our client’s product in the nephrologymarket. Responsible for understandingand identifying customer needs, supporting pull-through activities relative tothe customer strategy, keeping with client’s values and standards as governedby policies. The Nephrology SalesSpecialist demonstrates professionalism and leadership by modeling the requiredknowledge for successful execution of all Field Sales competencies. Travel up to 30%.


  • Bachelor’s degreerequired.

  • 2 years ofspecialty pharmaceutical sales experience required.

  • Successful trackrecord of calling on nephrologists preferred.

  • Hepatitis Cexperience preferred.

  • Specialty sales experienceacross multiple specialty markets with a preference for launch experience,building a base of business in a new area of the company preferred.

  • Experience in biotech ormedical device sales preferred.

  • Market development experiencepreferred.


  • Create andimplement strategically sound business plans and tactical strategies within theassigned geographic territory to achieve individual, territory and companygoals for sales, market share, call metrics, appropriate sample distribution,etc.

  • Manage daily salescall activity according to defined expectations, with the purpose ofinfluencing customers and increasing product sales:

  • On behalf of Client, promote Client'sproduct(s) via live interactions with assigned HCP targets, engaging them inin-depth program.

  • Profile and manage a list of HCP targets andprovide value-added benefits to grow product volume.

  • Maintain call productivity and metrics thatare required by program.

  • Manage promotionalbudget.

  • Listen and respondappropriately to customer needs and questions.

  • Communicate product information in a way that's meaningful and relevantto each individual customer; customize discussions and client interactionsbased on understanding of customer's needs.

  • Engage in informed discussions about products with HCP customers –knowing when/how to seek and provide additional information.

  • Within select customer accounts, act as primary point of contact forcustomer, meet with key customers/personnel to understand practice structure,business model, key influencers network structure, customer needs andidentifies business opportunities.

  • For select customer accounts/HCPs, coordinate with customer team todevelop customer strategy – outlining strategy for interactions/ relationship,solutions and potential offerings for customer.

  • Share learnings and best-practices from one customer to help othercustomers meet their needs.

  • Demonstrate a focus on better health outcomes (considers the HCP &patient experience).

  • Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers.

  • Identify and select programs/services available in the library ofClient’s "resources" to address customer needs.

  • Maintain current understanding of practice structure, business model,key influencers/ network structure and makes information available to relevantstakeholders.

  • Influence beyond their specific geography or product area.

  • Embrace and maximize new technological capabilities and channels toengage customers.

  • Engage in all job responsibilities and activities with the higheststandards of ethics and integrity.

  • Demonstrate the ability to execute at each stage of the sales process.

  • Create a compelling and logical rationale in positioning our Client’sproduct versus the competition by focusing on appropriate patient types and useof supportive approved resources.

  • Demonstrate the ability to stay ahead of market trends, assess impact ofdynamics on current business state and make proactive recommendations to meetthe future needs of the business. Demonstrate innovation, resilience and is able to adapt toambiguous/evolving business environments.

  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt the articulation of the complexities ofthe payer environment for patients in the nephrology space, with theappropriate level of granularity based on the provider’s level of understandingand expertise.

  • Demonstrate the ability to forge and manage business relationships with difficultto access customers in a “no sample” environment.

  • Demonstrate ability to function effectively and employ a “business ownermindset” to develop the market segment for our client’s product.

  • Effectively andpersuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening andnegotiation skills, proper terminology and approved messaging.

  • Maintain thoroughknowledge of Client product(s) and program.

  • Verify andcomplete required data entry in Touchpoint CRM systems, such as details of thetarget’s responses and any follow-through actions.

  • Regularly andtimely communicate with the District Manager, as well as members of variousTouchpoint home office support teams, as required.

  • Create andmaintain a positive impression with client and client’s customers.

  • Prepare reportsfor management as needed.

  • Fully comply withall laws, regulations and Publicis Touchpoint Solutions Policies, Code ofConduct, all privacy and data guidelines, relevant state and federal laws andregulations and terms and conditions prescribed in the Sample AdministrationAgreements and PDMA Guidelines.

  • Participate inteleconference and live National, regional and district meetings and trainingsessions and represent client at National and/or local conventions whenrequested.

  • Perform specialprojects and assignments as directed by the manager.
