As a deployable geospatial analyst, provide support for the production and analysis of geospatial information. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet customer demands on short notice. Candidate will work with, and produce, standard customer image data and digital products. Will develop custom products in response to Requests for Information which may include data extraction, conversion, and image manipulation, spatial queries, image rectification, data management, and creation of shape files and geodatabases. Geospatial expertise includes airborne, National Technical Means (NTM), commercial, Overhead Non-Imaging Infra-Red (ONIR), and Full Motion Video (FMV) analysis capabilities in support of the Expeditionary Operations mission, providing end-to-end imagery and geospatial expertise to military, intelligence and coalition imagery users to optimize NGA products and services. Candidate must have a a geospatial analyst background or similar work experience.
Candidate may be required to travel at least 180 days per year to potentially hazardous locations or support on short notice to crisis/contingency activities.
Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
Certified or be able to certify on various National Imagery Interpretation Rating Systems (NIIRS).
8-10 years of directly related geospatial analyst experience
Candidate should be proficient in use of geospatial and imagery exploitation software packages such as ArcGIS and ERDAS Imagine. Candidate should be proficient in the use of multiple data formats (e.g., PDF, shape files, image files, etc.). Candidate should be proficient in use of Datamaster, FalconView, IESS, IPL, MET, SocetGXP and have a working knowledge of multi-spectral imagery. Candidate should be familiar with customer standard data sets (e.g., ONC, GNC, JOG, TLM, etc.). Candidate should have experience working in a Windows OS enviornment as well as a UNIX/Solaris OS environment.
Must be eligible and willing to obtain a CI poly.
This is a deployable assignment and is contingent upon the ability to pass the medical requirements and training required for this position. Candidate must be willing to carry a weapon and be physically capable of lifting 60 lbs for a short period of time.
While CONUS, candidate must be willing to work either 1st or 2nd shifts and be willing to work some weekends. OCONUS deployed support will require an 84 hour work week.
