Tasks include :

  • Support all engineering aspects of the Cloud Acceleration Project including: identify, manage, and resolve specific technical requirement issues affecting the infrastructure; perform analysis of alternatives (AoA); develop roadmaps and engineering assessments
  • Provide technical leadership to develop performance measure and metric development to monitor progress towards the strategic outcomes
  • Provide technical leadership for NGA’s enterprise IT adoption of community cloud infrastructure, platform, network, transport, enterprise management, and security service offerings
  • Provide systems engineering lifecycle guidance necessary to define service concepts such that make/ buy trades can be conducted and as applicable, a developer can go build them.
  • Provide domain experience and rapid prototyping expertise for agile acquisition development, deployment, and experimentation of capabilities and services

  • Produce weekly, monthly activity reports to government customers and the SEIN program

  • Provide lifecycle project management analysis; conduct studies; participate in major reviews; perform hardware, software, and technology evaluations; identify solutions; provide recommendations; plan activities

  • Work requests and requirements with a diverse set of contractors and all grades of customer personnel
  • Research and conduct architecture trades and product evaluations as well as lead cost estimation required to bring recommendations for approval and inclusion in Requests for Change (RFC) related to data center services and target architecture development
  • Coordinate with other parts of the SEIN contract/functional areas and with government representatives and system developers to ensure shared, consistent understanding of requirements
  • Work with subject matter experts in NGA and the industry on ISP and Cloud best practices

  • Serve as the link between application development and infrastructure services programs


Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI Clearance (Active SCI within 2 years with a current SSBI favorably adjudicated within the last 5 years)

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience

  • 11+ years of systems engineering, systems integration, or systems development and/or systems integration experience including 4-6+ years of related experience with NGA or its IC partners

  • Experience across a range of activities to include some of the following: Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management, Capabilities/Requirements Definition, Performance Metrics, Enterprise Architecture, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Experience authoring high-level agency documents such as strategic plans, CONOPS, business plans and briefings for seniors
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective customer relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present effective technical presentations to NGA management; must possess strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Demonstrated Systems Integration or similar support to a major program
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Ability to work in a Government environment as part of a multi-contractor team

  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, GovCloud, and C2S

  • Experience with emerging cloud environments and technologies

  • Experience with systems architectures (hardware, software, networking, and databases)

  • Knowledge of IC or DoD organizations and programs

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Information Technology
  • PMP, INCOSE, SAFe Agilist Certification
  • Direct experience performing System Engineering / System Integration on a previous assignment

  • Experience managing system interfaces and end-to-end systems integration of new and existing components

  • Demonstrated project leadership skills and experience
  • Experience in developing project plans and schedules

  • IT/Cloud architectural, analysis and planning skills

  • Systems engineering and/or Cloud experience within the IC
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills with experience generating technical documents in support of IT/Cloud activities
