Burns & McDonnell Marketing Project Coordinator in Kansas City, Missouri

This Marketing Project Coordinator assists with Marketing and Communications projects by collaborating and guiding project teams by providing project information and maintaining project schedules. This position coordinates with Marketing and Commutations team members to provide solutions for execution of project needs.

  • Facilitates the dissemination of information to project teams as part of the overall communications and project scheduling process.

  • Resolves questions regarding the project; research and provide appropriate answers.

  • Manage project set-up preparation and compile marketing and communication project updates.

  • Creates, maintains and consistently updates status of all jobs via the workflow tracking tool - which includes the creative brief, reviews, proofs, estimates and all relevant communications between team members regarding each job.

  • Continuously follows up with team members to ensure key milestones are accomplished in order to meet delivery expectations. Plan, coordinate and facilitate meetings for the project. This may include: stakeholder meetings, team meetings, periodic reviews, etc.

  • Administer project closeout activities.

  • Run Marketing and Communications status reports.

  • Establish priorities and deadlines on project deliverables.

  • Develop procedures pertaining to internal project requirements.

  • Work within the project management tool to assist project team.

  • Utilize the project management system to track and forecast current and future project needs.

  • All other duties as assigned

  • High School Degree required. Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred, in a related field or a minimum of 10 years' experience. Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

  • Position requires ability to work independently, demonstrating accuracy, reliability, organization and problem solving skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels within an organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior knowledge of project management platforms a plus.

  • Project management certification a plus.
