The Information Desk Concierge ensures arriving guests have a positive first impression of Truman Medical Centers through the Concierges’ warm, welcoming and helpful greeting and professional demeanor and appearance. Is proficient at determining destination or information each guest needs and expertly provides the information and/or arranges escort (whenever possible) or easily followed directions.
Proactively identifies and addresses guests unspoken needs to set the stage for an exceptional patient, family, or visitor experience. Maintains focus on guests through assisting at the entrances, rounding in the areas adjacent to the Welcome Desk to maintain clean, safe, and relaxing environment for waiting guests. Routinely conducts environment of care rounds in the area, sees that issues are addressed and ensures service requests have been performed and issues resolved (EVS & Facility work orders, calls for assistance, etc). Provides patient information as is appropriate, and is proficient at handling situations in which patient information cannot be provided.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess at least one year of experience in a direct customer service position.
Must demonstrate outstanding verbal communication, customer-focus and problem solving skills.
Pleasant, outgoing demeanor, superior phone skills, excellent judgment and proactive manner are required.
The ability to operate a computer,
Remain calm in stressful situations, handle multiple tasks and situations, and be attentive to details and guests’ needs.
