The Database Architect will:
Serve as an experienced member of the company’s information technology team and be responsible for a variety of duties related to the development, enhancement and maintenance of the company’s mission critical internal and client facing computer applications.
Be responsible for working in conjunction with the Application Developers to design/model and build a database infrastructure capable of supporting future state applications and business intelligence.
Develop, test, implement and maintain corporate applications systems.
Assist with defining scope and requirements for database development efforts.
Provide technical support to external clients.
Be a technical resource and mentor to fellow programmers and other co-workers.
7+ years of experience in Database Development and Administration, database design and analysis using Microsoft tools and technologies such as: MSSQL Server, Visual Studio, PowerShell, Team Foundation Server, ASP.Net and C
4+ years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configuration
3+ years of experience with Database design for both transnational and business intelligence applications
2+ years of involvement experience with MSSQL Server Community; membership in PASS, active in forums or newsgroups
Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
Experience with Cloud database infrastructure
Understanding of both OLTP and OLAP Database models
Understanding of Business Intelligence data modeling and reporting
