          Five Rivers Services, LLC (FRS) provides full-spectrum communications, information technology (IT), network operations, video teleconferencing (VTC), audiovisual, multimedia, and command, control, communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) services and solutions to Department of Defense, Federal Government agencies, and the commercial sector. Currently, FRS operates in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Djibouti, and several continental U.S. locations.

          JOB DESCRIPTION

          Please Note: This position is a contingent position to be filled upon award of work. Should you meet the qualifications, the recruiter will contact you when work is awarded.

          The individual shall provide completion of projects which involve geographic information processing; proficient in the major areas of GIS software-data input/verification, database storage, creation, and manipulation, data analyses, and data presentation; major duties of this position shall include managing and creating GIS datasets and their associated data utilizing primarily the ArcGIS family software, or other GIS and image processing systems; this may include creating GIS datasets by manual digitizing, hand entry, scanning, or on-screen digitizing; modifying existing datasets, modifying existing datasets to create new datasets, gathering other agency/organization datasets and transferring to ArcGIS for use or modification; performing data transfer through means such as file transfer protocol (ftb) or distributing databases via CDROM; and performing established quality control procedures for GIS dataset and database construction. Other duties shall include providing technical assistance to GIS users; providing field assistance in collection of GIS activities; providing assistance in writing user manuals, reports and papers to document GIS activities; and aiding in performing data analyses and producing GIS output products.

          REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

          * Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience), preferably in a science field.
          * Should have knowledge of GIS concepts and capabilities
          * Experience using mini/microcomputers and associated peripherals
          * Working knowledge of various operating system environment and GIS software programs

          Work Environment and Physical Demands
          Office setting.
