LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 12-month contract opportunity (plus possible extensions) with our client in Joplin, MO!

The Senior Project Manager will:

  • Apply a sense of urgency to complete tasks and manage projects in accordance with the project schedule.

  • Collaborate with large project teams that range from developers, business analysts, and QA engineers, as well as business stakeholders.

  • Manage project scope through effective communication with stakeholders and project sponsors.

  • Develop and manage project estimates and budget.

  • Produce schedules at the task level using Microsoft Project; manage changes against project schedule, scope, and costs.

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and constraints.

  • Participate in resource management to include estimating, tracking of actuals, and correction of variances.

  • Drive projects from kick-off through implementation.

  • Lead governance and communication processes with key stakeholder groups.

  • Identify and anticipate risks and issues; facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation.

  • Manage project requirements to include reviews with business and technical stakeholders, approvals, specification changes, providing clarification to technical and test teams.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience managing projects within the IT industry

  • Must have a solid understanding of new application development

  • Must have the ability to interact with senior management

  • Must have end-to-end project management experience, driving projects from kick-off through implementation

  • Must be able to balance competing projects and tasks

  • Must be comfortable working in a very fast-paced, results-oriented environment

  • Proven working experience in project management in the IT sector

  • Candidates with a PMP Certification will be given preference

  • Strong candidates will have Project Management experience with new application development

  • Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)

  • Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
