We have a full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to work onsite for our client located in Clayton, MO. Successful candidates should have experience working in healthcare, developing, analyzing, and executing accounting and finance functions. Duties include preparing managerial reports, financial reports and general ledger.
Our client is now one of the largest providers of Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and other government-sponsored and commercial programs in the country. They provide access to affordable healthcare to more than 12 million members across the country.
Duration: Permanent Direct Hire
Location: Must work onsite at client’s facility in Clayton, MO
Salary: Annual Salary DOE, plus bonus
Develop, analyze, and execute accounting and finance functions. Prepare managerial reports, financial reports, and general ledger
Prepare and analyze journal entries, income statement, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports on a regular basis
Report and advise on organization’s financial status
Develop analytical financial tools for critical at risk balance sheet accounts
Develop, implement, modify, and document accounting systems
Adapt accounting and record keeping functions to current computerized accounting systems technology
Assist with the treasury functions by overseeing weekly activity and reporting this activity to management
Prepare and maintain claims liability lag reports
Reconcile and review claims system reports and claims liability reports to checks paid and other empirical data
May be involved with due diligence, integration activities with acquired companies, technical accounting research, and other business issues
Conduct special studies, develop, or recommend enhancements to accounting methods and procedures
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Master’s Degree Preferred
Must have 3 to 5 years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, large industry or health care industry
Strong financial analysis skills with proficiency utilizing Excel; MS Access experience a plus
